This is the slickest product we've come across in a while! It is the
Quanum wireless battery monitor. It uses 2.4ghz low power TX to send
battery voltage of your flight pack to a receiver which you can mount
on your transmitter. Perfect for those who don't want the hassle or
expense of a full OSD telemetry system.... and it can be used in any
aircraft in your fleet from your park foamie to your 800 class AP heli.
It will read out via a large 132x64 pixel LCD screen individual cell
voltage as well as total pack voltage. From 1-6 cells. The receiver
will also give an audible alert as 3.0v/cell approaches. This is also a
perfect device for checking the condition of each cell of your packs
while in flight and under load.
The TX is 16 grams. Very light weight. It plugs directly into your
battery balance tap. It does not interfere with 2.4ghz video or
Aircraft control systems. CE and FCC approved. Range is very
respectable.... listed as 1 kilometer, although I haven't had the guts
to actually put that to the test.
Separate TX can be bought for each aircraft. The RX has an internal lithium battery and is charged via USB connection.
